Co-founder of Bank Zero, Michael Jordaan spoke to Michael Avery at the BusinessTech Online FinTech Conference 2022. Jordaan said following the launch in August 2021, the bank is progressing slowly, but solidly and is not aggressively advertising its services, as it continues to fine-tune its product set. He also spoke about new features the bank is working on, including a cash-in for business accounts at retailers and an Apple Pay solution. Bank Zero has claimed that it only needs 100 000 customers to break even. It also remains committed to bringing to market a product that is both cheaper and more convenient than existing banking products.
