Old Mutual launched the Empowering Girls Programme on 17 February 2022. This initiative is a multi-year programme which has selected 20 Grade 11 girls with the aim of creating a pipeline of female talent for the insurance industry. In addition, Old Mutual said it invested R8 million in CSI in 2021. This included contributions to communities affected by political unrest and on-going Covid-19 disruption. It also highlighted its initiatives through its long-standing partner, Gift of the Givers, Reach for a Dream and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund.
