According to Brand Finance’s 2022 South Africa 100 report, a ranking of the top 100 most valuable and strongest brands, has found that SA’s top 100 brands grew by 17% this year. This increase in brand values reflects significantly improved revenue forecasts in the future, as less impact from Covid-19 is expected, together with a reduced likelihood of civil unrest in key markets, for South African brands. Capitec is South Africa’s strongest brand but only by a fraction of a point, ahead of FNB. OUTsurance dropped to 8th position and Old Mutual rose into 10th position.
