Dialdirect and Discovery placed a billboard that features a gaping hole across a large portion of the billboard, on William Nicol Drive in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Recently, the billboard was filled in, to demonstrate the work done by The Pothole Patrol. Since it launched in May 2021, the initiative repaired 80 000 potholes in the City of Johannesburg. The insurers encourage Johannesburg road-users to continue reporting potholes via WhatsApp or SMS or through The Pothole Patrol app.
