Discovery said that when power returns after load shedding, households may experience a surge of current to their plugged-in appliances, which could cause damage. Discovery offers power surge cover, to protect clients against such costly replacement. Clients can upgrade their Essential and Classic Plans to provide higher amounts of power surge cover, for an additional premium.
