Bloomberg reported that Investec has asked its South African based employees to get vaccinated or go for weekly Covid tests, at their own expense. Investec will be moving to a hybrid working model, which requires employees to work at least three days a week from the office. Without a negative Covid test or proof of vaccination, employees will not be able to access the workplace, events or client meetings. Investec said it believes that getting vaccinated is the best mitigation against the virus and to ensure a safe environment for all.
