Liberty ran its annual Winter Shoe Drive in July 2022. Liberty said it had distributed over 14 000 pairs of shoes to 100 selected primary schools across South Africa, this year. Since the launch of this initiative in 2017, Liberty has been in partnership with Bata Shoes and has delivered almost 50 000 pairs of new school shoes to underprivileged learners. Liberty stated that this Drive shows its continued commitment towards the development of education to support ‘tomorrow’s leaders’. In addition, it said as an organisation, it rolls up its sleeves and makes an effort to be ‘in it with our people’.
