PSG Insure wrote an article to urge parents to insure their student children’s possessions ahead of the 2022’s first semester. PSG drew on the runaway fire in April 2021 that caused extensive damage to the University of Cape Town and resulted in 4 000 students being evacuated from residences, with little to none of their belongings. PSG stated that parents need to insure student essentials like laptops, cars and other equipment. PSG encouraged parents to consult with an adviser to put together a plan to support their children’s tertiary journeys.
