Hollard’s Travel Head spoke on the topic “Embracing change and adapting to the future: making the most of new opportunities”, at the 4th Women in Insurance Conference that took place on 24 and 25 February 2022. Hollard said the impact of Covid-19 on the travel industry has been “devastating”, but has forced Hollard Travel to transform to meet new challenges. Hollard said it was the first insurer in South Africa to redesign its travel offering, including paying for cancellations if the customer tests positive before their trip and covering quarantine (or hospitalisation) if they test positive upon arrival at their destination.
